Step-by-step help for Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wi-Fi Setup.
The Canon PIXMA MG3620 has a model-specific wireless setup path. Use the printer’s own controls and the current Canon setup software rather than repeatedly resetting unrelated settings.
Set up Wi-Fi
- Turn the printer on and let any cleaning/alignment finish.
- For cableless setup, hold the Wi-Fi button until the ON lamp flashes, press Color, then press Wi-Fi; continue when the Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly and the ON lamp remains lit.
- Continue in Canon PRINT or Canon setup on the computer/phone; if iOS asks, join the temporary Canon_ij_ network and return to Canon PRINT.
- For WPS, place the printer in WPS connection mode and press the router WPS button within the documented window; completion is indicated by steady Wi-Fi/ON lamps.
If the printer is not discovered
- Confirm the router is on and the phone/computer is connected to the intended network.
- Temporarily avoid guest networks or VPNs that can block local-device discovery.
- Check the printer’s network/WLAN status or connection report where this model provides one.
- If the printer is already connected but one computer cannot find it, repair/re-add the printer on that computer instead of resetting the printer network first.
After changing router or password
Run this model’s wireless setup again with the new SSID/password. A driver reinstall alone cannot reconnect a printer whose saved router credentials are no longer valid.
Before calling it a driver problem
Prove the network layer first. If the printer itself is not connected to the router, fix Wi-Fi. If it is connected and another device can print, focus on the affected computer’s queue/software.
