Canon PIXMA G3010 Drivers & Software

Step-by-step help for Canon PIXMA G3010 Drivers & Software.

Canon PIXMA G3010 drivers and software

The Canon PIXMA G3010 uses Canon software to enable printing and scanning from your computer. If you are setting up the printer for the first time, reinstalling it, or troubleshooting a computer that cannot find the printer, start with Canon’s official software.

Which driver do I need?

For Windows, Canon provides MP Drivers for the PIXMA G3010 series. The MP Drivers include the printer driver and ScanGear, which is used for scanning.

You normally do not need to search for separate printer and scanner drivers.

Before downloading

Check these three things:

  • Confirm that your printer is a Canon PIXMA G3010 series device.
  • Check which operating system your computer is using.
  • Download software only from Canon’s official website.

HelpMyTechs does not host or redistribute printer drivers.

Installing the Canon G3010 software

  1. Go to Canon’s official setup or support page.
  2. Select the software appropriate for your operating system.
  3. Download the Canon installer.
  4. Open the downloaded file and follow Canon’s installation instructions.
  5. When prompted, select how your printer is connected — for example, Wi-Fi or USB.
  6. Complete the setup and test printing.

If you also use the scanner, test scanning after installation to confirm that the scanner component is working.

Already installed but the printer isn’t working?

Reinstalling the driver is not always the first thing to try.

If the printer shows as offline, check the printer’s connection and network first. If you recently changed your Wi-Fi router, network name, or password, you may need to reconnect the printer to the network.

If your computer cannot detect the printer during setup, also check that the printer and computer are connected to the same network.

Using the G3010 with Wi-Fi?

The PIXMA G3010 uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is configured as a 5 GHz-only network, the printer will not be able to connect to it.

Where should I download the driver?

Use Canon’s official support resources rather than third-party driver-download websites.

The official Canon support link shown below takes you to Canon’s own website. From there, follow Canon’s current instructions for your operating system.
